About

Gilad Ayalon

I was born in Tel Aviv in 1968, and live in Hod-Hasharon, Israel. I am an Electrical engineer and my expertise is VLSI (the square black things you can find on electrical boards). I am married and have 5 boys, some of them are sharing my enthusiasm for origami. Among my hobbies you can obviously find origami but also yoga, windsurfing, philosophy, chess, spinning, ski, watching movies, reading, jigsaw puzzles, magic, cooking (desserts only), making liquors and beer brewing. I started to fold after I played with my child’s origami kit, and since then I use the Internet and enjoy the ease of finding interesting topics to fold. I like the idea of giving life to a two-dimensional square and therefore I like the most to fold action origami and things with a specific expression. The vision of this site is showing the final result near its diagram or the diagram source so everyone can find quickly the next favorite model to fold.

Eyal Reuveni

My name is Eyal Reuveni and I'm 27 years old.

I am a student for economics and management.

I studied industrial design, and my hobbies are:  drawing(sketches and oil painting); collecting ancient replica weapons, armour and knights (Napoleon cannons, medieval crossbows, shields, fantasy swords, bows, rifles, helmets and a lot more), collecting wooden statues of animals and Indians and statues of angels and  roman carriages and mythology figures; listening to music-mostly medieval German and Irish music; I am very much into architecture (gothic churches ,castles and  palaces) ; I like traveling in Europe;  and of course origami.

I started folding since I was a child, when I first saw an origami show on TV. Then a friend introduced me to John Montrll's "origami for the Enthusiast" book, and ever since then I can't stop folding.

I’m very much into folding animals, insects, fantasy, creatures and figures.

I like to experience complex models (like Robert lang's)-the more detailed the fold is, the more I’m into folding it. I like to experiment with different kinds of paper-thick paper also.

I like John Montroll origami books- I think they are very well diagrammed and have a very nice variety of animals; and also Robert Lang and David Brill's.

I also highly recommend the Spanish origami website -great galleries and diagrams, and I think the Spanish origami creators are brilliant (at least most of them)

I hope to increase my origami books (I have12 already, and 2 more portfolios filled with diagrams by various origami artists).

Hope you'll enjoy my pictures
